[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] I have found that Kati has hit the mark in so many ways for the support of new and soon to be nurses. As an educator at my hospital I have been inspired with many different ways to reach out and teach the new nurses that come to our hospital. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration. I highly recommend FreshRN. Thank you Kati and Stay Fresh 🙂

I am a seasoned nurse in many areas of nursing but have never worked on a cardiac specific floor. I stumbled upon FreshRN and decided to try out the Cardiac Confidence course. This helped me quickly gain knowledge and confidence in caring for my cardiac patients in addition to being able to explain meds/procedures to patients/family members in a way that they could understand. Highly recommend.

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] Very informative. I love the videos that was shown. I been a nurse for years and still learning new information. I don’t work in the ICU setting, but it is great to have an understanding about what’s going on before coming to a step down unit.

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] I am so glad the updated version includes some IV introductions because in school they didn't really teach me much on IV. To have a professional talk me through and explain the whole process so cohesively is so helpful. I continue to go back to the course to review the materials and find it very handy to have all the common cardiac medications, procedures available for me. Thank you for preparing me to become a better nurse!

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] In the weeks leading up to my first bedside job, I was very excited, but also nervous about the steep learning curve and how few practice hours on the floor I had gotten in schools. FreshRN kept me feeling excited about this new chapter in my learning and my career, and gave me both the skills that I needed as a trainee and as a new nurse, as well as the confidence that I could and would be able to do the job. I highly recommend!

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] This course was amazing for a new grad who is about to be on a cardiac post-intervention unit. You are very encouraging and made me realize that I CAN do this, no matter how many butterflies I have in my stomach. I've had 5.5 months since nursing school so I definitely needed a refresher. There were some typos or things that could have been worded in a way to better understand it. For example, in the sheath section when talking about sizes (Fr), you mentioned sizes for groin access and for arterial access. I just was confused, thinking it meant to explain sizes for venous and for arterial access since the groin could be venous or arterial OR it was talking about groin access and radial access. Just things like this! Thank you Kati for all the work you've put into this.

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] Great course! For the visual learners, it would be so helpful to maybe have a few more photos/video links, particularly when discussing equipment such as the Impella and IABP, or pacemakers. Photos of what exactly the RN would have his/her hands on, etc. Otherwise this was perfect - it made certain things that I've unquestioningly done/communicated in report many times "click" and gave me a greater conceptual and big picture understanding. Thanks again.

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] All the different forms (audio, video, PDF, following along) of teaching are very helpful. Jeannie's input and expertise helped to solidify the learning. Thanks to both of you. [CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] I have been a nurse for 25 years. I took this course just for fun and I loved it. I only regret that it was not around when I was a new nurse. All nursing schools would be so much better if they incorporated your course! You hit the nail on the head for nurse training. Very clear explanations and invaluable tips. There is no comparison to learning from the best and I believe the two of you eliminated a lot of blood, sweat and tears for all your followers. It was so much better than the other courses I have taken and I even got CEU's. I am very thankful you are leading nurses.

After searching the internet feverishly for a comprehensive course to meet my needs as an ICU nurse (I've been away from the bedside for 2 years), I finally found what I desperately needed in the ICU breakthrough and Cardiac course. These courses are pure gold! The course is prepared by experienced ICU nurses with advanced degrees and a wealth of experience! They way the courses are taught with real life experiences and no fluff gave me exactly what I needed. I feel like I have caring preceptors on call all the time. [CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] Thank you for the contents. I have been a nurse for 7 years and I learned sooo much valuable information on this site that I feel like I should have known because its pertinent information for safe patient care. So much information is thrown at you in such a short amount of time that there is no way to retain a majority of it. That is what I love and fear about the medical field is that there is sooo much to learn every day (love) and because health care and its practices are ever changing, it is a momentous task to keep up with all the new data, safe practices, medications, side effects, new diseases and treatments etc... So courses like this are soo nice as a condensed refresher of general knowledge that should be accumulated in cardiac or ICU specific fields. I always want to know EVERYTHING about everything so I think I sabotage my limited memory capacity to retain info pertinent in the field. So I feel the info given here gave just the right amount to understand the mechanism of actions or the need to know details, to retain the knowledge and put it into practice. Thanks again for the refresher. I made some notes and put them in an easy to reference folder.

Hi Kati! I am a new grad and discovered your podcast just as I was graduating. THANK YOU for creating content that is so specific for new grads! This is such a hard transition and your podcast and Cardiac Crash Course have helped me so much in my transition to a PCU residency. I’m hoping to also purchase the residency course when it’s next on sale (still feeling like a poor nursing student lol). Just wanted to let you know you’ve made a difference in my journey as a baby nurse and I so appreciate you! 💕

Yes x1000 you have helped me! I did your cardiac crash course when I first started on a cardiac stepdown unit about a year and a half ago. I was actually severely bullied by my preceptor to the point of almost quitting nursing all together. Your course and podcasts helped me gain confidence with knowledge I wasn’t getting that I should have during orientation, and ultimately made me realize I would be oriented only once and needed to stand up for myself. I continued to listen to your podcasts all during my first year of nursing. I loved the “when to call a rapid response” and “I know what I’m doing, now what”. Don’t ever stop doing what you’re doing! Skinny jeans and side parts will always be relevant! Your experience, insight, and wisdom is so valuable. Thank you for sharing some of it with me!!

I took your cardiac crash course and loved the content. I noticed recently that it’s now in audio files, too, so I can listen to it. I love this. I had my preceptorship last spring in Tele and having your course helped me to feel confident and more prepared (knowing what was important, what to look out for, how to talk to doctors, etc). I also took your resume and interview course and used your template for my resume (and got the job!) I listened to your podcasts about interviews and about new nurses and what makes a great new grad. All of them brought me a sense of confidence in myself, which was so needed. I love the cut-to-the-core realness that you bring. You cover what matters in a genuine way that’s easy to connect with. Love your content! Thank you!
